Have you heard of Educational Insights? If not, you may want to check them out with school starting and all. They offer a ton of great educational toys and most of the toys are geared towards being educational yet not feeling like that so your kids enjoy them.
I was able to review some of their products…
I’m the type of girl that liked to eat my dessert first so I will start out with my (and the kiddos) favorite….the Design & Drill (pictured above) and this is such a great toy. Now one of my kiddos favorite. It comes with plastic colorful bolts that screw into the plastic pegboard (also folds into a carrying case. This unique toy comes with a battery powered drill that they can drill the pieces into their case and design things. Can you see how this would be fun for them?! 😉
Next up comes the Talking Electron Microscope! You can view more than 180 amazing, up-close images and hear 5 fun facts about each image in Learning Mode – then switch to Quiz Mode and test your knowledge! Images include the human body, viruses and bacteria, plants, animals, and other “stuff. This was a blast and my 5 year old wants to keep doing it (yet not knowing he is learning at the same time)!
Then, there’s the Playfoam Combo 8-pack. This stuff is neat! Here’s a sign that it’s good….we are still able to play with it and mold it and let me tell you, my 2 and a half year old just loves this stuff but we all know they they tend to leave stuff out. Like with Play-Doh for instance….yes, it’s fun stuff but it dries out quickly, or same with markers. This Playfoam does not! It lasts and lasts and is still soft. Crush it, shape it, blend it…..whatever you want (or uh hum….whatever the kiddos want).
Last but not least is Math Slam! Read the question, scan the possible answers, and slam the one that’s correct! Better move quickly, though, each game of 10 questions is timed— the faster you get through the questions, the better your score! Incorrect responses are recycled until they are correctly answered. Three levels, flashing lights, and fun sound effects keep players interested.
