I am so in love with this super easy biscuits recipe! You probably already have all the ingredients on hand because it only takes a few! These are super easy and quick to make and some of my favorite biscuits ever. Enjoy!
7-Up Biscuits
INGREDIENTS:
- 4 cups Bisquick
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup 7-up
- 1/2 cup melted butter
DIRECTIONS:
- Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees F.
- Mix Bisquick, sour cream and 7 up. (Dough will be very soft – which is fine)
- Knead and fold dough until coated with your baking mix.
- Pat dough out and cut biscuits using a round biscuit or cookie cutter (mason jars or other kitchen items work great for this too).
- Melt butter in bottom of cookie sheet pan or 9×13 casserole dish.
- Place biscuits on top of melted butter and bake for 12-15 minutes or until brown.
Thanks, Show Me Nan
going to try these tks
I like the 7 UP Biscuits recipes but is there a way to sub the sour cream with a different ingredient for the same results and same flavor? Thank you.
I’m sure greek yogurt would substitue for sour cream.
If I make these again, I would add 2-3 tablespoons more of sour cream and 7-up. Also, would add 1 teaspoon of salt-I made theses with low fat variety of Bisquick which may have less sodium-(not sure). Be prepared to add Bisquick to your area for kneading and generously flour hands with Bisquick. Overall, fairly good biscuits.
Is there something else you could use other than the seven up I don’t like a sweet biscuit?
I would guess a seltzer water, something with fizz. They use that in Tempura batter to make it light.
Does anyone know how these freeze? I want to make about 40 of them for ham biscuits for my garden club so need to do several batches.
