Fat Burning Detox Drink

I’ve got another Detox drink for you! This one is a fat burning concoction that really does the job. See below why it works:

First up is my favorite ingredient….Apple Cider Vinegar! I always feel happier and better when I have this in my drink (I try to drink it every day). This is SO good for you and you can see ALL of the reasons and 20 Uses for Apple Cider Vinegar (Weight Loss, Acne, Hair, Skin, and MORE!) in my post here.

Cinnamon..I love this almost as much as the vinegar. Cinnamon helps boost your metabolism, regulates blood sugar, stops food cravings. Cinnamon actually imitates the activity of insulin and increases the metabolism of glucose. Since high blood sugar levels can lead to increased storage of fat by the body, it helps prevent this and helps you to lose weight. Cinnamon is rich in manganese, iron, calcium and fiber. 

Lemon juice contains pectin, a soluble fiber that has been shown to help with weight-loss. Lemon juice also helps get rid of the toxins in your body that cause you to keep weight on. Lemon also has a ton of Vitamin C.

Apples – The fiber helps you feel full longer because it expands in your stomach so it takes less food to satisfy your hunger. I recommend eating the apples you put in the drink after you drink it. Cinnamon Apples…YUM!

  • 12 oz of Water

Looking for a 4th of July recipe?! If so, you will love this next one. I love making Summer drinks and this next drink recipe is perfect for 4th of July or Memorial Day! It’s super easy to make and only takes 3 ingredients. Not only is it super fun, it’s really tasty too! Enjoy!

Red White Blue Layered Drink

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup Cranapple Juice
  • 1 cup Sobe Elixir Pina Colada
  • 1 cup Blue G2 Gatorade 2

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Make sure all ingredients are well chilled.
  2. Fill glass 1/4 of way with ice.
  3. Fill with cranapple juice just to 1/3 way up.
  4. Place in freezer for 30 minutes or until ice layer has formed on red layer.
  5. Fill to top with ice
  6. Gently fill with pina colada by pouring over the back of a spoon to 2/3 way up.
  7. Place in freezer for 20 minutes or until ice layer has formed on white layer.
  8. Gently fill with G2 by pouring over the back of a spoon rest of way up.

This next detox is made with Watermelon which surprisingly has quite a few health benefits. The first being how much it is loaded with vitamin C! It is also a huge hydrating fruit which will help detox your body of negative toxins.

Well, actually you don’t need to eat more – you just need to eat more frequently. Eating 5-6 small meals each day a few hours apart will help keep your metabolism in check and keep you satisfied longer.

2. Drink water. Then drink some more.

You can’t lose weight without drinking enough water, so make sure you’re sipping on it all day long! This is super important and really seems to work for many different reasons….just trust me on this one…water, water, water!

3. Use portion plates.

The less food you put on your plate, the less you will eat. Instead of using regular sized plates, use saucers. Fill your plate up with veggies and you will still be satisfied, without going over your calorie intake for the day. Also, when you go out to dinner, ask for a “to-go box” before you even get your food. Yes, they may look at you like you’re crazy but that way you can package up half your dinner, lunch, breakfast before you see it and get tempted to eat ALL OF IT! If it’s in front of your face you will be more tempted to take a few extra bites.

4. Get rid of the temptation.

If chocolate is your weakness, keep it out of the house. If soda tempts you, it’s okay to drink it once in a while, but it should be a rare treat – not a staple in your refrigerator. Also, choose the dark chocolate next time, it’s much better for you!

5. Load up on veggies.

Your diet should be high in fruits and vegetables. They’re loaded with fiber, and will keep you full longer than the 100 calorie snack packs that are all the rage lately.

6. Workout smarter.

You can jump start your weight loss and keep your metabolism going for longer by doing 3 or 4 10-minute workouts instead of 1 big 30 or 40 minute cardio workout.

7. Track your food intake.

Keep a log of what you eat and drink every day for a week. You’d be surprised to see how high your calorie intake has been if you haven’t been tracking it. If you get in the habit of it now, you can continue to do it if you’d like. It’s not necessary, but it’s a helpful tool that many people use to stay on track.

8. Take an extra 1,000 steps each day.

Purchase a pedometer (don’t worry, they’re inexpensive), and take the stairs. Aim for 1,000 extra steps each day. They add up fast!

9. Buddy up.

Team up with a workout buddy to maximize your weight loss results! If you don’t feel like hitting the gym one day, send your buddy a text and he or she can motivate you to get your sweat on. You can return the favor when they feel like lounging a bit. 🙂

10. Avoid fad diets.

Though it’s tempting to try fad diets to try and lose weight fast, it’s best to follow the tips above to lose weight slowly so you can keep the weight off.

Keep a log of what you eat and drink every day for a week. You’d be surprised to see how high your calorie intake has been if you haven’t been tracking it. If you get in the habit of it now, you can continue to do it if you’d like. It’s not necessary, but it’s a helpful tool that many people use to stay on track.

Purchase a pedometer (don’t worry, they’re inexpensive), and take the stairs. Aim for 1,000 extra steps each day. They add up fast!

Team up with a workout buddy to maximize your weight loss results! If you don’t feel like hitting the gym one day, send your buddy a text and he or she can motivate you to get your sweat on. You can return the favor when they feel like lounging a bit. 🙂

10. Avoid fad diets.

Though it’s tempting to try fad diets to try and lose weight fast, it’s best to follow the tips above to lose weight slowly so you can keep the weight off.

Well, actually you don’t need to eat more – you just need to eat more frequently. Eating 5-6 small meals each day a few hours apart will help keep your metabolism in check and keep you satisfied longer.

2. Drink water. Then drink some more.

You can’t lose weight without drinking enough water, so make sure you’re sipping on it all day long! This is super important and really seems to work for many different reasons….just trust me on this one…water, water, water!

3. Use portion plates.

The less food you put on your plate, the less you will eat. Instead of using regular sized plates, use saucers. Fill your plate up with veggies and you will still be satisfied, without going over your calorie intake for the day. Also, when you go out to dinner, ask for a “to-go box” before you even get your food. Yes, they may look at you like you’re crazy but that way you can package up half your dinner, lunch, breakfast before you see it and get tempted to eat ALL OF IT! If it’s in front of your face you will be more tempted to take a few extra bites.

4. Get rid of the temptation.

If chocolate is your weakness, keep it out of the house. If soda tempts you, it’s okay to drink it once in a while, but it should be a rare treat – not a staple in your refrigerator. Also, choose the dark chocolate next time, it’s much better for you!
