Aren’t these cupcakes so cool?! These Camouflage Cupcakes are perfect for Memorial Day, a birthday party, homecoming party, etc. They were super fun to make and are very special. You may want to let the kiddos help out with these ones. These cupcakes taste delicious and make the coolest centerpiece. These would also be great for a bake sale!

Camouflage  Cupcakes

Ingredients:

2 C flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 C sugar
1/2 C sweet cream
1/2 C whole milk
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
food colors 1

Directions:

-Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
-Prepare the cupcake pan with paper liners.
-Combine flour and baking powder in a mixing bowl
-Add sweet cream and sugar in mixing bowl.
-Beat until light and creamy.
-Continue to beat.
-Add one egg at a time to the sugar and sweet cream mixture.
-Add vanilla extract.
-Alternatively add flour mixture and then milk.
-Begin with flour mixture and end with flour mixture.
-Divide prepared batter into 3 bowls.
-Add 5 drops of food coloring in each bowl.
-First bowl… add green food coloring.
-Second bowl….add brown food coloring.
-Third bowl…..add black food coloring.
-Stir all 3 bowls one at a time to ensure correct level of color.
-Starting with the black batter…add 1 spoonful to the bottom of the lined cupcake tin.
-Add 1 spoonful of the brown batter on top of the black batter in the lined cupcake tin.
-Add 1 spoonful of green batter on top of the brown batter in the lined cupcake tin. 8
-Fill cupcakes 3/4 full.
-Bake at 350 degrees.
-Bake for 12-18 minutes…Checking to see if cupcakes are done. 7
-Allow to cool for 10 minutes.

Frosting Recipe:

3 C powdered sugar
1/2 sweet cream
2 TBSP heavy whipping cream
Food coloring 2

Frosting Directions:

-Cream sweet cream and powdered sugar until small pebbles form.
-Continue to mix.
-Add heavy whipping cream.
-Check to see if frosting can form a stiff peak.
-If not add 1/2 C powdered sugar.
-Check to see if frosting will now form a stiff peak.
-If not, continue to add another 1/2 C of powdered sugar until peaks can form and stand.
-Divide frosting into 4 bowls.
-In bowl #1…. add 5 drops of green food coloring to frosting.
-In bowl  #2….add 5 drops of black food coloring to the frosting.
-In bowl #3….add 5 drops of brown food coloring to the frosting.
-Bowl # 4 remains white.
-Begin to add the frostings to a pastry bag with desired tip.
-Start with adding 1 spoonful of green frosting.
-Taking the back of the spoon flatten the green frosting.
-Turn the pastry bag .
-Add 1 spoonful of the black frosting.
-Taking the back of that spoon flatten the black frosting.
-Turn the pastry bag.
-Add 1 spoonful of the brown frosting.
-Taking the back of that spoon flatten the brown frosting.
-Turn the pastry bag.
-Add 1 spoonful of white frosting.
-Taking the back of that spoon flatten the white frosting.
-Test to see that all of the colors come out before starting to frost your cupcakes.
-Frost the cupcakes.
