Adult Drink Recipes are perfect for Summer!

BBQ’s, sunshine, family and a refreshing drink is what summer means to me. I love to entertain during the summer months but finding the right drink isn’t always easy. It seems like it is easier to get creative with food. I’ve rounded up what I think are going to some amazing drinks to serve this summer.

10 Summer Time Drinks

1. Peppermint Vojito  – This recipe is originally dubbed as a St. Patrick’s Day recipe but I think it would be perfect for the summer months as well.

2. Raspberry Ice Tea Martini – I love ice tea and raspberries, so putting them together to make a martin sounds genius! I’m really looking forward to serving this one up this summer.

3. Blue Ocean Cocktail – This drink looks beautiful. I’m very hopeful that it taste as good as it looks. I think it will be a hit with my friends and family.

4. Cajun Margarita – I have tried several different margarita flavors but Cajun I have never tried. This recipe really sparked my interest, I’m thinking it will be a sweet and spice mixed together. Either way it sounds delicious.

5. Cake Batter Martini – Cake batter martini just sounds flat-out amazing! Not only does it sound amazing but it looks amazing. You could really impress your guests with this drink.

6. OWG Margarita – OWG is a brand that helps make your margarita a great one. This post shows how to make a margarita using the OWG brand. This looks like a quick and easy way to make a good drink.

7. Love Potion 9 – Once again the visuals of this drink caught my attention. I’m sure it taste great but I just can’t stop looking at it.

8. Raspberry Beer Cocktail – This cocktail looks like the perfect summer time BBQ cocktail. Beer with raspberry and a few other ingredients. I think even the men might like this one.

9.Kiwi-Strawberry Bellini – Just look at the picture of this drink and you will be impressed. It looks like something you would find in a five-star restaurant, yet so easy to make!

10. Peach Berries Sangria – Lately I have been seeing more and more Sangria recipes. This one is made with peaches and berries and looks so refreshing.

What summer time drinks do you serve up for your guests?

Kid’s love making these Colored Noodles!

Need something fun to do with the kiddos? How about a way to make them eat?! If so, you may love this next idea….colored noodles! It’s super easy, inexpensive and quick.

Check out how to do it below:

Print
Colored Noodles

Colored Noodles

Ingredients

  • 2-3 food coloring colors (Blue and Pink or purple work best....Green kind of turns yellow)
  • 1 package of White pasta (you can use wheat but the color doesn't turn out as bright)

Instructions

  1. Boil the water in separate pans
  2. Add about 15-20 drops of each color in its own pan (or until the water completely changes colors)
  3. Boil pasta in colored water
  4. Strain the pasta (make sure to do EACH color in it's own pan)
  5. That's it!
  6. *You can also do this same recipe a little different....just boil your pasta and strain then add a little bit of pasta to a few different baggies and add 15-20 drops of food coloring in each bag and a little water. Then let sit until pasta has absorbs the color.

Easy, No Fuss Caramel Sauce

There is nothing better than warm caramel sauce over desserts like ice cream or sundaes. However, caramel sauce can make almost any dessert that much better. It’s perfect for cheese cakes, cookie toppings, and even as a sweetener for your morning coffee. The only downside is store bought caramel sauces can be packed with extra unnecessary ingredients and can easily rack up the grocery bill. So why not make your own, save some money and customize your sauce to be exactly how you like it! Check out the recipe below to make your own easy, no fuss caramel sauce.

If you love caramel recipes, head over to see our 10+ Delicious Caramel Recipes, our No Bake Snickers Caramel Apple Pie, our Caramel Apple Cupcakes, our Cream Caramel Apples, our Starbucks Caramel Frappuccino Cupcakes, our Caramel Brownies with Homemade Frosting and our Chocolate Caramel Cheesecake Trifle!

Ingredients Needed:

  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Of  Evaporated Milk
  • 4 Tablespoons Of Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon Of Vanilla Extract
  • Pinch Of Salt (Optional)

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients except for the vanilla into a small sauce pan and mix over medium heat.
  2. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly until texture becomes thick.
  3. Next, add the vanilla and stir it in until mixed well.
  4. Remove from heat, cool until warm and pour into the container of your choice.  Once cooled, it is ready to use! In a sealed container this sauce will last up to 5-7 days in the fridge.
