Crispy Carrot Chips
Potato chips are a super popular snack food around the world. However, it can be extremely hard to find a crunchy, healthy alternative for regular store-bought potato chips. Usually, you can find something that tastes similar but you end up having to sacrifice texture. Well, the good news is there is a healthy, easy to make alternative to regular potato chips and they can be eaten guilt free and made in your own home! Check out the recipe below to make your own crunchy carrot chips:
Ingredients Needed:
- Carrot(s)
- Olive Oil
- Salt
Instructions:
- Start by preheating the oven to 425 degrees and prep your baking sheet. Either line the sheet with parchment paper or use a light cooking spray.
- Next, slice all your carrots into rounds keeping them relatively the same size. Once sliced combine carrots, salt and just enough olive oil to lightly coat the chips. Toss all ingredients to make sure every piece is evenly coated.
- Lay on the baking sheet making sure to leave a little room between each chip. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes or until crispy and brown. Keep a close eye as they can overcook easily.
- Once finished cooking, let them slightly cool and serve with your favorite dip or sauce!
