DIY Deodorant

When it comes to DIY projects and products, deodorant may not be the first thing you think of! But surprisingly enough deodorant is easy to make at home, only uses natural ingredients and won’t cost nearly as much as store bought deodorant. This recipe can be customized for regular skin or for sensitive skin and won’t take longer than a few minutes to make! Check out the recipe and instructions below to make your own DIY deodorant:

Items Needed:

  • 1/4 Cup Of Baking Soda
  • 1/4 Cup Of Cornstarch
  • 10-15 Drops Of Tea Tree Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Of Coconut Oil ‘

  1. Start by combining dry ingredients in a medium size bowl. Once mixed add desired number of tea tree oil drops or any other essential oils you prefer and stir.
  2. Next, add in the coconut oil and use a wooden spoon to combine the mixture. This part may take some elbow grease to get a smooth texture.
  3. Once the mixture is completely smooth, decide on how you would like to store the DIY deodorant. You can either mold this mixture into an empty deodorant container, just make sure the base is all the way at the bottom first. If not it can be kept in a jar and applied by hand. While the ingredients may seem soft they do harden with resting time.
  4. Use as needed and repeat recipe when you run out!
