DIY Mint Breath Spray

What is your first choice for freshening your breath? For most of us it would be having a breath mint or  a stick of gum. But if you are looking for a healthier, frugal solution why not try DIY breath spray! It’s easy to make, has healthy ingredients and will cost less than buying a pack of gum on a regular basis. Check out the instructions below to make your own DIY mint breath spray:

Ingredients Needed:

  • Warm Water
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Of Honey
  • 10-15 Drops Of Peppermint Essential Oils
  • Spray bottle
  • Bowl


  1. Start by adding warm water to a small bowl (about 1/4 adjusted to the size of your bottle) and stir in the honey.
  2. Mix the two ingredients till smooth and well combined.  This will help the breath spray taste great and have a lasting effect.
  3. Once the honey and water have mixed add in your preferred strength of peppermint oil. 10 is the suggested amount, but if you prefer a stronger taste add 15-20.
  4. Mix one more time to make sure everything is smooth. Once mixed, use a funnel to pour the mix into a mini spray bottle.
  5. Your breath spray is now ready to be used! Spritz directly in mouth whenever you desire fresh breath and refill as necessary!
