  • 1/4 cup Vinegar
  • 1/2 cup of Very warm water

  1. Mix 1/4 cup Listerine with 1/4 cup vinegar and 1/2 cup of very warm water in a container or in your bathtub
  2. Soak feet for 10 minutes
  3. Wipe feet with a dry towel to remove dry & dead skin and you'll have sandal ready feet!

  1. OMG this works so good. I have very dry cracked heels and it really made a difference. The only thing I would say is don’t use the blue Listerine. It kinda left a blue film on my feet. It did come off, but it was something I said I would remember for next time.

  2. my feet turned blue too! LOL

  3. Does it have to be Listerine? I think Vodka or rubbing alcohol would be better as for not turning your skin a weird color.

  4. Wonder if it can be any strong mouthwash

  5. What a waste of vodka! LOL

  6. Does it matter what kind of vinegar?

  7. Blessed with one says

My three family members tried this and it didn’t work. None of us had cracked heels so maybe it only works if your feet are in really bad shape. Our feet really tingled (almost to an uncomfortable level) for about three hours afterward. I would be looking more for a softening effect than to get cracked skin to peel off if.

  8. Super!! I use apple cider vinegar and water to soak my feet…works wonderful!!! You can , also, soak a cotton ball and just rub on your feet…I do this during warm months a few times a day…Apple cider vinegar is gso good for your body…In and Out!
Thanks so much for thinking about us =)

  9. Does it have to be Listerine or can it be another brand?? And what about vinegar??

  10. I used the Walmart brand of the blue Listerine (heck of a lot cheaper!). It worked great and didn’t leave me looking like I had smurf feet. 🙂

  11. I’m gonna try this but not with Liserine cos I don’t buy it!! Seems like a great idea for summer!!!

  12. Heather B says

I actually did this yesterday and it didn’t seem to work all that well. My feet are relatively dry but nothing excessive. Possibly made a small difference. I also ended up with blue feet but I rinsed them in the tub later. I also soaked them a bit longer than 10 minutes. Oh well, guess I’ll try a few more times and see if I notice a difference.

  13. Any vinegar and any mouthwash plus water works. Just use the cheapest. I soak for 20 minutes. The dead skin just rubs right off. Great!

  14. Hmm I have really cracked feet…hope this works!!(: Thanks for the idea!!
