Fat Burning Detox Drink

I’ve got another Detox drink for you! This one is a fat burning concoction that really does the job. See below why it works:

First up is my favorite ingredient….Apple Cider Vinegar! I always feel happier and better when I have this in my drink (I try to drink it every day). This is SO good for you and you can see ALL of the reasons and 20 Uses for Apple Cider Vinegar (Weight Loss, Acne, Hair, Skin, and MORE!) in my post here.

Cinnamon..I love this almost as much as the vinegar. Cinnamon helps boost your metabolism, regulates blood sugar, stops food cravings. Cinnamon actually imitates the activity of insulin and increases the metabolism of glucose. Since high blood sugar levels can lead to increased storage of fat by the body, it helps prevent this and helps you to lose weight. Cinnamon is rich in manganese, iron, calcium and fiber. 

Lemon juice contains pectin, a soluble fiber that has been shown to help with weight-loss. Lemon juice also helps get rid of the toxins in your body that cause you to keep weight on. Lemon also has a ton of Vitamin C.

Apples – The fiber helps you feel full longer because it expands in your stomach so it takes less food to satisfy your hunger. I recommend eating the apples you put in the drink after you drink it. Cinnamon Apples…YUM!

  • 12 oz of Water
  • 1-2 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar (I use Braggs with the "Mother")
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Teaspoon sweetener (I use a Stevia Raw Sugar packet)
  • Half of an apple (sliced)


  1. Put all of the ingredients (not including the Apples) in the blender and blend for about 10 seconds.
  2. Add slices of Apple
  3. Drink and then eat the apple slices! They will taste yummy.

        Hi there, Could you please pop in and respond to the many questions about the apple cider detox drink post? Many would like to know how often and how much is recommended to drink? Also, what kind of results (besides what you mentioned from the individual ingredients) are we looking at? Weight loss? Cleaning out? Is this something we need to stop drinking after a few days? Thanks in advance…seems a lot of people are curious! :)

    i made this today…it was good..a lil too vinegar for my liking..probably should have put more sweetener..i couldn’t even finish it. nor eat the apples

    Had first drink today,it wasn’t bad. I used a whole apple and I let it sit in fridge overnight, and it had almost no vinegar taste.

    Drinking for the first time. Halfway through and feel my metabolism turning on and my appetite curbed. I do not think I could drink this all in one sitting or everyday.

    I drank this it wasn’t bad but it made me feel very gassy. I think I’ll add more water and less ACV next time. I’m only going to drink it once a day.

    I’ve been having this drink now for a couple of days. The taste does not bug me at all, i actually enjoy it a lot. I can feel it curbing my appetite and I also feel it working inside my tummy. Great recipe with great information to support.

    Thanks for the recipe. I would prefer not to use the substitute, so I will use Sugar in the Raw. I like adding water beverages and drink plenty everyday. I don’t drink these instead of eating, that is not what it is intended for. So you can drink it daily in place of other beverages.

      sugar in the raw really isn’t RAW. it is still refined, aka turbinado sugar. IDK how they can sell it as “raw”. also this drink is very alkaline, which is good, but when you add refined sugar you’re adding acid. yes i know ACV is also acidic but in your body it has alkaline properties. sort of like all citrus fruits. lemons and limes are of highest alkalinity in your system.

    I do like it and it does work very well for me. I have lost a very big chunck of my weight drinking this insted of juice. I also drink it after or before any work out.

    Hi everyone- I see that many have questions about this drink. I’ve been drinking this for about two years. Since the blogger isn’t responding I’ll chime in.
    Only drink this once a day, preferably in the morning. Apple cider vinegar will “clean you out” and it does help with metabolism a bit. This is only if you are eating a healthy diet as well. If you are drinking this and still eating poorly you won’t see much results. The cinnamon helps with regulating your blood sugar. And the lemon juice also help with a detoxing effect (more cleaning out)
    You may want to cut the recipe with some filtered water if it’s too vinegary for your taste.

    Also- You can drink this everyday. I’d also like to suggest that aim to drink 60-80 oz of water every day. Only drink water. Stop drinking anything else. You’re body will thank you. You’ll find that if you are looking to lose weight and you switch to just water you see a difference…

      For how long can you drink this cocktail? I know you mentioned once per day, but for how long of a time frame? And do you take a break from drinking it daily at any point?

    It seems as though folks are looking at this as a diet remedy. It is not. This is something healthy to do for your body along with other healthy things such as exercise and a healthy diet. This is not some magic concoction that will help you loose weight. You can’t eat crap, not exercise and then drink something to take away fat. Its a lie if that is what you are being told. Diet fads are harmful and you end up putting on more wight once you stop the fad. Healthy food choices, portion sizes, exercise and water do wonders! This drink is an awesome bonus.
