Great book……..
hahaha!! READ TO YOU??!!
Don’t laugh but the girl who reads this book…her voice is HORRIBLE, it was so bad I ended up reading the other books in the series because I couldn’t handle her voice. Plus it’s an odd book to be read to! I had no idea when I started it on Audible. 😉
I signed up for the free audible account about 6 months ago and went to cancel just before my membership expired. They offered me a subscription fee for 8.95 a month for 3 months. I decided to take the deal and got one credit to spend a month. It turned out to be a pretty neat setup.
You also have the option to “exchange” the books after you finish them. This way you can have all 3 of them read to you before the end of the month and still cancel before you get charged anything 🙂
I think Audible is terrible. I had a couple of their credits and couldn’t find anything I wanted on an audio book. So I canceled my account thinking I would start it again after I used the credits. Wrong, you lose those credits when you cancel your account. I had planned all along to start up again, now I will never buy anything from them again.
Happened to me too except they managed to get $35 from me and after I asked them for a refund, they would not do it. I forgot to use the $35 and then the month ended and it dropped of. So I basically got jipped and will never ever go to this site or recommend it to a soul.
I had an Audible account for over a year before cancelling – just because of trying to cut spending. I had a great experience with the service and will go back once I can afford it again. I read the terms of cancelling membership carefully, though, and used up my last credit before cancelling. I also listened to all three Fifty Shades books and I have to agree with the above poster about the narrator. She was obnoxious. The writing is bad enough, but she really made it worse. I did manage to listen to the whole series twice in a row, though. If I had it to do over, I probably would not have used three credits on the Fifty series, but I do highly recommend Adventures of Huckleberry Finn read by Elijah Wood and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series as well.
