Whether you bake homemade dog biscuits to ensure your pet is eating healthful ingredients, to save money, or just because it’s fun, there is no question that your canine friend will be appreciative, and will benefit from the extra love baked into each treat.

This recipe is just a general guideline. Feel free to improvise by adding ingredients (bacon, peanut butter, cheese, flaxseed) or by substituting (bacon grease for oil, pumpkin for applesauce, chicken for beef) as you please.

The recipe makes approximately 60 average sized biscuits. They store well in an airtight container, but if that is too many for your use, you can freeze part of the dough for later. Or you can treat the pets of family and friends to fresh, wholesome biscuits too!

Instructions using a food processor:

  1. Heat oven to 350 F.
  2. Process the beef with 1/2 cup of the canned broth until it is finely ground. Discard any remaining broth.

  5. Roll dough out 1/4 –inch thick. Cut into desired shapes and place close together on baking sheets. 6.jpg
