I have a fetish for cheesy fried goodness…who doesn’t right?! 😉 Crispy and gooey cheese that just melts in your mouth…that describes these delicious, easy, homemade mozzarella cheese sticks!
Plus, they are extremely kid friendly…my picky little ones love these!

Homemade Mozzarella Cheese Sticks
Ingredients
- Be sure to Folllow Raining Hot Coupons on Pinterest for more RECIPES!
- 1 package (8oz) mozzarella cheese
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/8 cup cornstarch
- 1 egg - beaten
- 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt or salt
- Any oil (I love peanut oil)
Instructions
- Pre-heat oil to 300-350 degrees
- Cut cheese into 16 sticks (make sure it is cold)
- Combine flour, cornstarch and mix
- Combine breadcrumbs and garlic salt
- Dip cheese stick into flour mixture then into egg then into breadcrumb mix (make sure you evenly coat with each layer)
- Put covered cheese stick into oil until lightly browned (do not burn) - takes about 30 seconds
- Pull out using tongs and place on paper towel or napkin to remove excess oil
- Enjoy!

Mozzarella cheese sticks are my love language. I could eat them all day long, everyday. Okay, that might be a stretch but you get the point. 🙂 I have been wanting to try a homemade recipe and it will absolutely be this one. Thanks so much for sharing the recipe and linking up to Thrifty Thursday.
