Once you purchase this, IF you cancel, you have to ship the books you already purchased back to them and you have to pay for shipping. You can’t just keep the first 5 FREE books. You can keep the back pack, but you have to pay to ship the books back once you cancel. Just so people understand this better!
That is not true…If for some reason you are not happy with the books and want your $5.95 back, then at that point you are to return the books at your expense, you get to keep the backpack just for trying the club, and then upon receipt of the books, they will refund your $5.95. If you want to keep the books and do not want to continue to receive new ones, you just need to make sure to cancel future shipments

i got this before and i canceled my membership with with them while they shipped the books to me and they only charged me once for the books and they were really nice about me canceling my membership! so i dont think its true that we have to pay shipping because it says on the bottom that we can cancel our membership at anytime without risks!

I did this when my child was in preschool (he now is in 6th grade). I ordered the 5 books, and only had to pay for them. I then canceled I did not have to pay or send the 5 books back. Tina is correct (unless they have changed it in the last 7 years).
My mom got these for my daughter this past year and cancelled right after… she only paid the $5.95 for the backpack and books – never had to return anything and never got billed for more! Great deal and great books
