How To Clean Your Flat Iron
When using a beauty appliance such as a flat iron, it is easy to forget that like most things it needs to be cleaned and maintained. If it is not cleaned on a regular basis, the build up on the iron can actually cause damage to your hair. The best way to avoid this is to clean your flat iron with these quick and easy steps and try and do it after every use. It may seem like a chore to do this every time you use it, but your hair will seriously thank you for it!
How To Clean Your Flat Iron
Ingredients
- Flat Iron
- Paper Towel
- Cotton Swabs
- Nail Polish Remover
Instructions
- Turn off and unplug your flat iron, letting it cool for about 5 minutes.
- Use a damp paper towel and wipe and wipe down the iron plates while it is slightly warm.
- Then take your cotton swab and clean all the small spaces where the towel can't reach.
- If you have harden product build up on the iron plates, wipe with nail polish remover. This will remove the build up and break it down.
- Finish by taking a new damp paper towel and giving the whole iron another wipe down. This will complete the cleaning process.
