How To Remove Sticky Labels

We all have been in the same situation, there is a jar or bottle with a label that just won’t come off. Even if you try peeling the label off, it still leaves behind sticky residue and your left with a messy result. It can be so frustrating running into this problem and not having a quick solution for it. Well, luckily there are a few different ways to remove labels without leaving residue behind and it only calls for a few household products. Check out the solutions below to start removing sticky labels today:

  1. Mayonnaise: Cover the label in mayonnaise and let it sit for at least 5 minutes. Then take a cloth and start slowly removing the label and wiping off the mayo. Finish by using a window cleaner to remove left over grease and you should be left with sparkling results.
  2. Vinegar: Vinegar works great to remove labels in a snap. Soak a rag in vinegar and a little water. Then, let it sit on top of the label allowing it to soak in for a few minutes. After soaking, the label should peel right off!
  3. WD-40: Simply spray WD 40 directly on to the label and let it sit for a few minutes.  The solution will break down the label causing it to peel off easy. Finish off by cleaning with window cleaner and you should be label free!
