The best mac and cheese ever!

1 box macaroni or other small pasta, cooked and drained (I’ve been using my free ronzoni rotini lately)
1/2 cup chopped broccoli, cooked and drained
    1 egg
1/2 cup melted butter or margarine
    1/2 cup flour
    2 1/2 cups milk
2 cups shredded cheese (reserve 1/4 cup for the top)
    1 tsp garlic powder
    2 tbsp yellow mustard
    salt and pepper

Grease 13×9″ pan and mix together pasta, broccoli, and egg until combined.

Make a roux with the butter and flour, then add the milk and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the roux thickens. Add the cheese, garlic, and mustard, and stir. Pour over pasta and stir slightly to combine. Sprinkle with remaining cheese, salt, and pepper and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until bubbly.
