This next recipe is so yummy and will give you energy from the oatmeal. I wouldn’t say they are completely “healthy” but I do think they are on the healthier side of a cake bar! Plus, you can make these for the kiddos as a snack or dessert and they’ll have no idea they are good for them. Enjoy…

Can you make this with different fillings? I only have lemon, would that still be good?
Can you post what size can of pie filling to use? I used a regular sized can of cherry pie filling and I thought it was awful. I had to add an extra 1/4 cup of butter 1/2 way through baking and it still came out with a weird, doughy texture and strange taste. It definitely didn’t have enough fruit in the middle…I was disappointed.
We also added more butter and baked longer. Not enough moisture to hold this together.
These look sooo good! I love how simple they are too!
I’m wondering if you think graham cracker instead of oats would work?? I can’t wait to try these!
I agree Kristi. The amounts in this recipe seem incorrect. There was not enough moisture to make this stick. It was awful.
It’s difficult too find well-informed people for this subject, but you seem like you kjow what you’re talking
about! Thanks
