How Toffee Peanut Butter Brownie Bars Were Born
Sometimes, the best dessert or want to combine two or three different desserts in the one. That’s the case with Toffee Peanut Butter Brownie Bars. I had friends coming over and realized I didn’t have anything to snack on. I looked in the fridge for some cookie dough and realized I only had half a tube . I knew I had a brownie mix in my pantry and thought peanut butter and chocolate sounds perfect! I wondered what else I could add that would make it even better. I found a bag of toffee chips in my pantry with the brownies and deliciousness was born in my kitchen. Toffee Peanut Butter Brownie Bars was a hit!
Toffee Peanut Butter Brownie Bars is Versatile
Don’t have toffee chips in your pantry? Try caramel chips, M&Ms, or even chocolate chips. Any candy candy will work in Toffee Peanut Butter Brownie Bars! I’m thinking about next time up some Snickers in the food processor and using those. Get creative, use what you like in your Toffee Peanut Butter Brownie Bars. You could also use any type of refrigerated cookie dough you like. Try chocolate chip or sugar cookie for a change.
Ingredients
- ½ tube peanut butter cookie dough
- 1 8x8 size brownie mix plus the ingredients to make according to directions (egg, oil, water)
- ½ bag toffee pieces

Instructions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Press the cookie dough into the bottom of an 8x8 or 9x9 baking pan.
- Sprinkle with toffee pieces.
- Make brownie mix according to the directions. Pour over the top of the cookie mix.
- Bake 30-40 minutes, until a knife inserted into the pan comes out clean.
- Let cool slightly.
- Cut into bars and serve warm or cold.

With school starting up, that means bake sales for all kinds of clubs will be starting. Toffee Peanut Butter Brownie Bars are great for bake sales. They hold up well, stay fresh for quite a while, and with the combination of peanut butter and chocolate, they sell out fast! Make up a bunch for your favorite bake sale fundraiser and watch them go!
½ tube peanut butter cookie dough
1 8×8 size brownie mix plus the ingredients to make according to directions (egg, oil, water)
½ bag toffee pieces
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Press the cookie dough into the bottom of an 8×8 or 9×9 baking pan.
