This recipe was submitted by Tammy! Thank you Tammy, sounds yummy! I LOVE this because you only need 4 simple ingredients that a lot of you may already have and if not don’t worry, there are some frugal coupons to go with some of the items.

“Mexican Crescent Ring”

Ingredients:

3 packages Pillsbury Crescent Rolls Use coupon for $0.50/2 found here!
1 cup grated cheddar cheese Use the $1/2 Kraft Natural Shredded Cheese coupon 1/23 SS OR $1.50 off 1 Sargento Cheese from Publix here OR $1/1 ANY cheese found here
1 pound ground meat
Taco seasoning
Directions:

1. Preheat oven according to directions on crescent roll package.
2. Using a round pizza stone (or a pan, but a stone works best), layer the crescent roll triangles in a circle, with the wider part on the stone and the tips off of it. (I did it in a heart shape this time, for Valentine’s Day!) You should have a few triangles left over to fill in later.

3. Brown meat, drain, and add water and taco seasoning, to taste.
4. Spoon meat onto layered crescent roll.
5. Top meat with cheddar cheese.
6. Roll tips of crescent rolls around meat and cheese, fully encasing it. Use leftover triangles, in pieces, to fill in any gaps. (see first picture up top).
7. Bake according to directions on crescent roll package. Due to overlapping, you may need to leave them in a little longer; wait until it’s golden brown on the outside.
I serve this with diced tomatoes and sour cream and love serving it for guests since it’s so pretty! It’s also just as good warmed up in the microwave the next day!
Thanks again, Tammy!
