Crock Pot Pasta Sauce is an amazingly simple yet fabulously delicious take on a staple food for many families. It starts out with real tomatoes, herbs, and for good measure, I threw in some Italian rope sausage. Since it’s in a Crock Pot, I let it cook all day for an easy dinner when I got done with my running around.
Crock Pot Pasta Sauce Freezes Well

Keep Meatballs on Hand for Reheating Crock Pot Pasta Sauce
When frozen meatballs go on sale, grab a bag or two and keep them on hand. When you reheat Crock Pot Pasta Sauce, toss a few in to add meat to your meal. - 1 lg can petite diced tomatoes
- 1 lg can crushed tomatoes
- 1 lg can tomato puree
- 1 lg can tomato paste
- 1 T oregano
- 1 T parsley
- 1 t basil
- 1 t salt
- 1 t pepper
- 2 lb Italian sausage links or rope (optional)
- Place the sausage in the bottom of a large Crock Pot, if using.
- Pour each can of tomatoes into the Crock Pot. Add the herbs and spices. Stir in gently.
- Cover and simmer on low all day.
- Serve over your favorite pasta.
