I love going to Red Robin, mostly for the burgers, but also for an item that you don’t really see on their menu anymore. Garlic Parmesan Fries were once offered with specific meals, as a compliment to their already savory flavors. I used to order the meals just for the fries! Later they would let you order them with any burger, for an upcharge, which was fine by me, but then they were removed from the menu completely. I still get them for the same upcharge, but I always wonder, are they going to take them off the secret menu too? So, as with many things, I went home and tried to make them myself!
I started with pre-diced garlic for my Garlic Parmesan Fries. It’s a simple item that I keep in my fridge for just this type of use. I’m sure my Italian ancestors are twitching, wherever they are, but the time savings for some applications is amazing. You can find it in the produce section of your grocery store, usually near the fresh garlic. Keep it in the fridge after opening it and you will have fresh garlic on hand at a moment’s notice without having to peel or mince it! There are very few prepared items I keep in my home, but that one is the one I can’t live without!

Seriously? Why wait? Grab a bag of fries and make these delicious, not-your-everyday-fries, and maybe Garlic Parmesan Fries will become your everyday fries!
1 bag steak fries
1/2 C (1 stick) butter
2 T minced garlic
1 t dried parsley
1/4 C Parmesan cheese, grated
Cook the fries crispy, using whatever method you like, fried or baked.
Melt the butter and stir in the garlic, parsley, and cheese.
Place the fries on a platter or in individual plates. Pour the garlic parmesan butter over the fries.
Serve to smiles!
