Blueberry Basil Popsicles for a Change of Pace
Popsicles are becoming the rage this summer, and everyone seems to have a great recipe for something new. I recently purchased a popsicle mold and I’m experimenting with as many things as I can think of. Since I love Greek yogurt, it was a natural thing to add to my popsicle repertoire. All you need is a blender, popsicle mold, and your popsicle ingredients, and you are in business for a summer of deliciously frozen treats. Blueberry Basil Popsicles are fresh, fruity, and best of all, filled with good things like protein and vitamins, that keep you going on hot summer days.
Good Blueberry Basil Popsicles Start with Fresh Blueberries and Basil
It’s blueberry season in many parts of the country, which makes Blueberry Basil Popsicles amazing. Fresh picked blueberries are delicious in many dishes, but the flavor really pops when you blend them with blueberry Greek yogurt, fresh green Basil, and just a little bit of sugar. I love to use fresh picked basil in these, as it gives a great earthy flavor that accentuates the blueberries well. Experiment and see what works for you though. I like my Blueberry Basil Popsicles just a little sweet.
