Amazingly enough, Hormel Chili, No Beans tastes enough like Sonic’s chili, that it’s hard to taste a difference.  Add a bit of chopped red onion and the flavor is perfect!  One of the keys is to have soft tortilla shells.  If your tortillas aren’t soft and supple, place them on a plate in the microwave and turn on for about 10 seconds.  The tortillas will be warm and easy to bend, without falling apart!

Copy Cat Sonic Fritos Chili Cheese Wraps Are Great for Picnics

Are you looking for a picnic food that is different from the traditional salads?  Make up a bunch of Copy Cat Sonic Fritos Chili Cheese Wraps and wrap them tightly in aluminum foil.  Place them on a baking sheet and warm for about 5 minutes in a 350 degree F oven, then wrap in newspaper or towels to keep them warm.  It’s a fantastic walk-around food with a recyclable wrapper!

2 cans Hormel Chili, No Beans

1 small red onion, chopped

2 C sharp cheddar, shredded

1 bag Fritoss corn chips

6 large flour tortillas

Pour the chili into a medium saucepan.  Heat over medium heat until the chili is bubbly and hot.

Place about 1/4 cup of chili in the center of a tortilla.

Sprinkle with some red onion, cheddar, and corn chips.

Fold in the ends of the tortilla.  Wrap one side over and roll into a burrito shape.

Serve warm.
