Update – 17 Weeks Pregnant!

This Raining Hot Coupons deal was posted on February 23, 2012 at 10:52 am MST Leave a Comment

I just wanted to give you all an update on this girly bean growing inside me! I am 17 weeks as of yesterday and can’t believe how fast (yet how impatiently slow) it’s going!

This pregnancy is definitely different than my 2 boy ones. I am not sick, have not been sick and with my 2 boys I lost 20 pounds (if ya know what I mean)…I was always queezy and couldn’t hold anything down. Nope, not with this one…

I’ve been craving orange juice, and my own special creation (rice, leeks, tahini and greek yogurt all in one – stay tuned for my recipe later on). I also like peanut butter sandwiches and top ramen – not together but yes, at the same time! Is that just weird?!

What else….I have been tired….I’ll admit it…LAZY! But, I’m starting to get my energy back now.

I have also been so very indecisive! What is the world is up with that?! I am having the HARDEST time figuring out what I want to do in the babies room, coming up with a name, colors, bedding, crib, ETC! Please help! πŸ˜‰

Other than that, I’ve got an ultrasound in a couple weeks (which are always fun) and 40 weeks couldn’t come fast enough…well just a whopping 23 weeks left now.

Like I said, stay tuned for my funky rice recipe (which you probably won’t like…it may just be my pregnancy hormones) and some ultrasound pictures in a couple weeks!

I am so jealous. I blew up like a balloon and looked 6 months at 3 months. I had my son almost 10 years ago and still am fat. I wish pregnancy was as good to me as it is you. Maybe I would’ve had another baby then.

A couple weeks ago I commented on your Facebook “it’s a Girl” post and due to everyone seeing pics that their friends comment on, everyone thought I was having another girl. They were REALLY confused when we posted that we were having a boy….LOL. Congrats and have fun with her!

        Serafina Juliana
        Joella Maria
        Vincenza Renata
        Laudelena Lucia

No nickname for Serafina, only regret I like the spanish spelling Guiliana better. Everyone told me people were going to shorten her name and give her a nickname I said not if I say her name is Serafina! To this day not one nickname so stick to the name you like if you don’t want it shortened people will listen.
Joella I totally made up LOL and we figured we gave Serafina such a tough name we’d take it easy on Joella. No nickname there either
Vincenza we call Vinny πŸ™‚ she’s my little Vinny Vinny coco-pop
Laudelena we wanted to name Lucia but it was so hard to find a middle name that flowed well with it. We decided the night before I had her on her name and kept Lucia for middle cause my husband was set on that name.. Laudelena fits her perfect.. little baby Laudelena..
For the most part, most are very old names we tried to resurrect but to this day I still get that twinkle in my head when I think of them
Serafina will be 10 in July
Joella will be 9 in October
Vinny will be 3 SAME DAY IN OCTOBER!
and Laudelena turns 1 in March
Sorry for long reply but naming a baby is mucho importante!!! πŸ˜‰ Whatever you name her will be perfect cause she’s yours! and don’t stress, it’ll come to you.. I really thought this last one would be coming home from hospital without a name but I didn’t panick and a few hours before I had her that spark went off πŸ™‚ Good luck and you look beautiful!

Very exciting- raising girls and boys are very very different- in my opinion you have already gotten the hard part done- boys get into way more trouble than girls. I had some weird cravings to when I had my first. I wanted watermelon and crab legs all the time and living in the northeast and it was January- made for one expensive craving….

I tried for three years. The first infertility step is to take clomid which didn’t cost us too much and it just gives a little “push” to those eggs lol I have three children now so keep researching…good luck!

Call your doctor. If he feels you need to see a fertility doctor then he should refer you. I started with a regular dr. but after basic tests were done (with me AND with hubby…they will test HIM first) then we moved on to a fertility dr. We did lots of research. I was 33 when I had my first child πŸ™‚

Isn’t it funny how people are different? I got so sick with my oldest daughter – but I didn’t get sick with my twins. Everyone is so different! πŸ™‚

I like Harlee, too. I actually made that up with that spelling when I was pregnant with my daughter…and we’ve already met 3 girls named Harlee. I had Codi at first and then changed it. Cody is every boy’s middle name on my dad’s side, which is the “Gibbons” side. I thought it would be cute to do a girl…but changed it when I was 6 months to Harlee. Maybe you can carry on the “Gibbons” tradition. πŸ™‚ BTW, how cute are you pregnant?!?!

Girls are so cute nd sweet! My girl will be 3 next month and my boy is 13 months and he is a monster! So far, I think a girl is way easier but they are both great in their own ways. Enjoy!

I was extremely sick with both of my girls, Tymber and Tatum, until I hit the 2nd trimester, I lost 21 pounds with my first in the 1st trimester. Hoping to try for a boy in about two years! It’s crazy how some women are super sick with one gender, but not the other.

can I say being a mother of twins. Its not as hard as everyone thinks. Its actully super cool to watch them play as babies. talk to each in their own baby talk that you dont understand but they know what each other are saying. Dressing them the same but watching all the differances they have. twins are so special

And my goodness, the orange juice I went through, these little girls must love their OJ. No weird rice cravings though! My Chloe is 7 months now and so much fun, have a great rest of your pregnancy!

Congratulations! I know what you mean about the indecisiveness. When I was pregnant with my daughter I was the same way. It took us 7 months to decide on a name and the nursery until the last min! We named our daughter Ashlyn Caryn. The Irish meaning for Ashlyn is dream and that is what I loved. Good luck with names and themes. I love pink and black paisley or Fleur De Lis with black nursery furniture.

I lost 10 lbs with my son, but not because I was sick a lot. Infact, I wasn’t sick at all. I couldn’t eat any meat though. Meat made me feel nacious. I’d take a bite and set it aside for the whole first trimester. And it was ALL meat. Chicken, pork, burger, turkey, steak, hot dogs, you name it! My husband hated me! lol!
Congrats on your little girl. I craved pb&j sandwiches and pickles my whole pregnancy. Not together, but at the same time. lol! πŸ˜‰
