The best way I have found to save money with couponing is by making a list of what I need before looking for deals…if I start buying things we don’t need, that’s not saving money even if it is a good deal. And anytime you can get FREE products is the best deal around :)!!

Still fairly new to couponing , The best thing I’ve scored was the Wet and Wild nail polish. Was able to walk away with 24 nail polishes free. I’m on a set income so something even this small is a splurge. couponing is making it possible for me to have things I didn’t not to long ago.

I got 60 boxes of crayons, markers, and colored pencils and all I paid was the tax, which was $4.20!!! The best part was I donated it ALL to a local group that interviews children when they are abused or sexually assaulted. The owner of this non-profit organization was so grateful. I need to be more organized. This is why I despertly need a coupon binder. I have been shopping with coupons since I was 11 years old. I get stressed when trying to shop, since I am not organized with my coupons. One time I went to the grocery store and got all of my groceries for free and then even got 11 dollars back in cash.

Bi-Lo this weekend — Cookie Crisp cereal was 1.88. I had two 50cent coupons which they doubled making my cost 88cents per box. But it gets better — also got 50cents deposited into my SavingStar account! So each box ended up costing me 63cents plus tax!

Recently, I got 2 of the Samy hair colors for $5.39 using a coupon and Rite-Aid ups. My mom just got 4 FREE air fresheners by using coupons and a sale at Rite Aid. I’m sure there’s more that I can’t remember and if I win, I would like to give this to her because she has a huge coupon purse that she uses and shattered her shoulder 2 months ago and so I’ve had to help take up the slack.

I shop at my local grocery on Wed or Sat when they 5 coupons up to $1 in value wys $25. You can split your trip up into as many as 3 orders. I only buy stuff on sale with a coupon, only spend just over $25 and make sure my 5-$1 coupons are scanned first. So I usually get around $75 worth of SALE prices for under $35 (but when you factor in the non-sale prices, I am really getting $90-$100 worth of stuff for $35- that’s about 65% off!)

The first time I went on a couponing trip was with my mother when I was just 5 or 6 years old. This year, my mom went with me and watched how teaching me to budget at an early age paid off when I saved myself close to $75 on my groceries and $30 on hers all by using common sense and coupons. Being around it all the time, I am able to look at products that I need (or want) and figure out how to get a better deal on it. Love it! I shared with all my FB friends. Working full-time I don’t have time to really get organized but I do use coupons when I can–especially at CVS where I can combine coupons with my rewards. I’ve gotten a lot of product free using this method.

I’ve been saving with coupons since I got married in 1992 – used to be 30-35% without any sort of list; I regularly save approximately 50% since I started using lists and coupons in 2003. I save thousands of dollars per year with coupons!

I love the colors on your coupon binder, the green one and the purple, I haven’t seen anything like it at the stores. I keep a detailed-to-the-penny spreadsheet of my savings for each shop trip (CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Target, Albertsons). My average savings is 80-90%. I know it’s VERY inflated but at the bottom of my CVS receipt it says: “Year to Date Savings $2768.92” – which with the inflated drugstore regular prices, it’s not a reliable metric but it’s still fun to see! I’ll just mention one score recently b/c I’m most proud of couponing when it is to feed or take care of my child: I used a B1G1F coupon worth $6.99 (probably got from facebook via couponing blogs like yours) for the expensive Oscar Meyer Deli Select brand (no nitrates) of hot dogs and paired with a B1G1F sale, so I got 4 packages worth $28 for free.
    Thanks for your informative site!
